My story isn’t one of uniqueness but rather enlightenment. Like many people, I never really looked at the foods I was eating, how they were processed. I have struggled with my weight all my life, I know the ups and downs of diets, the disappointment of weight gain and the struggles of maintaining any weight that I had lost.
In 2012 with the documentary ‘Food Inc.’ (see trailer below), the eye opener that started my journey, my true metamorphosis. After a major health crisis, I put all the knowledge into gear and began working on a new healthier me. Organic, clean, real God given foods that haven’t been processed by man, is my new way of living. You see, we are all human; we all have slip ups but I have gone from a free spirited eater to one that pays attention to what my body needs to function. Life has led me to a passion for wellness, which I want to share with others.
Wanting to share my new found knowledge with everyone, I pursued a Master Health Coaching Certificate at the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. Because I learned the science behind healthy eating, I can now help you achieve a healthier life style using the four pillars of health; Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, and Nutrition.

Why I became a Health Coach:
Going to the doctors is always a chore, good news, bad news, the I know news! If you are anything like me - I would try to eat my healthiest right before the blood work was drawn! HA! I still got the 'you're overweight' 'your sugar is high' 'your cholesterol is....' sound familiar! I always thought - I can do this, make some changes, only to find out they would last a week or if I was lucky two. Let's face it, change is hard! I will be the first one to say - just eating whatever is easy! Planning takes work and so does 'being on your game'!
This is why I decided to become a health coach! I had coached myself through some major changes, both health and lifestyle wise. I learned so much about the foods we eat and where they come from. Most importantly WHAT'S IN THEM! I couldn't help but share that knowledge with friends and family, some even listened. Educating people that want to be educated, working with people that want to make changes and have someone to guide them through these changes, it's all part of my mission. Anyone can attend programs, lose weight and go on their merry way thinking I've got this only to find out a few months later, they have gained back all the weight they lost and then some! (Been there too!)
